This tour is a wonderful opportunity to explore the history and architecture of two countries at once. You’ll discover the most interesting sights in Copenhagen, cross the famous bridge between the countries, and find yourself in Sweden’s third-largest city, Malmö. You’ll visit an ancient castle and discover the location of “Venice on the Water” and the tallest building in Scandinavia.
We'll begin our tour by exploring Copenhagen and its vibrant Christianshaven district. It's a separate island connected by three bridges. You'll see canals and embankments and admire the 90-meter-tall Church of Our Savior. I'll show you old warehouses that once housed grain, sugar, and flour, but are now inhabited.
We will also drive through the areas of Iceland Bruge and Sluseholmen, which are called "Venice on the water," and visit the "city of the future" restad, famous for its trendy architecture.
Then we'll head to Sweden's southernmost city, Malmö, across the Øresund Bridge. It's famous for connecting Denmark and Sweden and is considered the largest suspension bridge in Europe. It's 16 km long, 4 of which are an underwater tunnel!
Malmö
is a city renowned for its history and architecture, as well as its unique cafes and restaurants. We'll visit Stotorget Square, home to the City Hall, the Governor's Residence, a monument to Charles X Gustav, a beautiful fountain, and the city's oldest pharmacy, Lejonet.
St. Peter's Church, with its carved 17th-century altar, and Scandinavia's tallest building, with its spiral façade, are also on our itinerary. We'll conclude our trip at the ancient Malmö Castle, one of the oldest in Sweden.
