Departure to Mont Saint-Michel. 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM Arrival at Mont Saint-Michel and Visit to the Benedictine Abbey Our guide will lead you up the narrow streets of the medieval village towards the top to the Abbey. Usually, we manage to join the guided visit led by an expert on Mont Saint-Michel and its history. When not possible, we provide audio-guides for the Abbey visit. First settled by man in the year 709, it contains a Medieval village and beautiful Abbey fortress dedicated to Saint Michael the Archangel. Construction of the Benedictine Abbey started in the 700s and continued through the 1200s. It remains practically the same since the Middle Ages, continuing to be the goal of pilgrims and tourists from all over the world. Mont Saint-Michel remains the most visited site in France, attracting around 4 million tourists per year. After the Abbey visit, you'll have free time to enjoy Mont Saint-Michel city and lunch. 5:00 PM Departure from Mont Saint-Michel back to Paris It takes about 4 hours. A stop will be made at a rest area. 9:30 PM Return to Paris Drop off at your hotel. Cancellation by the Travel Agency • In the event of cancellation initiated by Tour Up In Europe, a full refund on the tours, including credit card fees, will be provided. 5. Adverse Weather Conditions • In the event that the Customer chooses to cancel any excursions or activities included in their contract with Tour Up In Europe due to adverse weather conditions, no refund or compensation will be provided for the affected arrangement or service.
